THE QUEEN OF ALL WATERFALLS

It might not be the highest one (52 mt drop), but it’s so wide 790mt that it’s for sure one of the most scenic ones and probably the most worldwide known falls. The horseshoe band falls we are used to see in movies and documentaries are not the American ones, but the Canadian ones.

LA REGINA DELLE CASCATE

 Non saranno di certo le + alte, con un salto di 52 metri, ma grazie alla loro ampiezza, 790 metri, sono di certo tra le + sceniche e probabilmente le cascate + conosciute al mondo. Le cascate a ferro di cavallo che siamo abituati  a vedere nei film o nei documentari cmq, sono quelle canadesi. Quelle americane sono molto + piccole, + basse e meno belle.

TORONTO - ENGLISH

As I have only 48 hours time to visit Toronto I decide to have a walk around the city, which is anyway my favourite way to get to know a new place. I also really need to move after spending 3 days on a train. :-)

La mia visita a Toronto inizia con 1 giorno di ritardo, quindi con sole 48 ore a disposizione, il sole ed una temperatura umana decido di andare in giro per la città, rigorosamente a piedi (soprattutto dopo 3 giorni di treno ho bisogno di muovermi).

THE CANADIAN

Il più famoso dei treni canadesi (o meglio l’unico conosciuto) che percorre 4466 km da Vancouver a Toronto in 82 ore, + o meno come da Mosca a Irkutsk, 5153km in 87 ore, anche se questo sinceramente me lo sarei aspettato + veloce.

THE CANADIAN - ENGLISH

The most famous Canadian train (or probably just the only known one) that travels 4466 km from Vancouver to Toronto in 82 hours, just like the transiberian : Moscow to Irkutsk, 5153km in 87 hours, although I was honestly expecting this one to be faster. As I get it from Jasper it should only be 63 hours.

Ah si, svolte tutte le faccende burocratiche posso rilassarmi qualche giorno e godermi l’ospitalità della mia amica…sarà dura passare all’ostello dopo essere stati in una casa paragonabile ad un hotel a 5 stelle!

Here I am here almost 1 month after departing for CANADA, finally talking about this fantastic country! Let’s start with main facts: Canada is 10 milion Kms wide with a population of 35 milion people, 500 thousand/ 1 million mooses, between 15 and 18 thousand polar bears, around 20 thousand grizzly and 500 thousand black bears, millions raccoons and beavers, and I’ve barely seen humans by now…there are more foreigners than canadians here!

 

WELCOME TO CANADA

Eccomi qui a quasi 1 mese dalla mia partenza per il CANADA a parlare finalmente di questo fantastico Paese! Ma partiamo con ordine…dati salienti: il Canada misura un superficie di 10 milioni di km quadrati in cui vivono 35 milioni di persone, 500 mila/ 1 milione di alci, tra i 15 e 18 mila orsi polari, circa 20 mila gizzly e 500 mila orsi neri, milioni di castori e procioni, io per ora ho a mala pena visto gli umani. Si perché qui ci sono + stranieri che canadesi!
